History

 

The Music Department; has aimed to graduate students who pass the special talent exam and make contributions to our region and country with its experienced staff since the 2008-2009 academic year in Safranbolu, a world heritage city rich in historical, cultural, artistic and touristic aspects.
 
In our department, where Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art Music programs were opened in the 2012-2013 Academic Year, 4-year undergraduate education is provided. Course programs consist of main vocational courses, basic vocational courses, auxiliary vocational courses, elective courses and common (YÖK) courses.
 
The Music Department, which has performed and continues to perform mehter, band, orchestra, choir and solo performance activities since its establishment, produced its first graduates in the 2011-2012 Academic Year. Today, it has 3 programs and 17 academic staff. 1 of them is a Professor, 1 is an Associate Professor, 6 are Dr. Lecturers. Members, 3 of whom are Lecturers and 6 of whom are Research Assistants.
