March 12th National Anthem Adoption and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Commemoration Day Workshop and Exhibition
A meaningful series of events was held within the scope of the "March 12th Commemoration Day of the Adoption of the National Anthem and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Poster Exhibition" organized by the Graphic Design Department of the Fethi Toker Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Karabük University in Safranbolu.


 
A workshop was organized by the department on March 6th, coordinated by Research Assistant Hilal Sansar. The workshop focused on poster designs reflecting the historical significance of the adoption of the National Anthem, and participating students created creative works that visually expressed the spirit of our national anthem.
 
The students who participated in the workshop are:
İbrahim Tutkal, İclal Ataşcan, Nazlıcan Duman, Tunahan Durdubaş, Kaan Şirin, Kübra Küplü, Selin Keçeci, Abdulnaseer Alqadrey, Ömer Faruk Günergök, Elif Nur Hastürk.




 
The original designs produced during the workshop were presented to art lovers in a virtual exhibition format on March 10th. Hasan Yılmaz organized the virtual exhibition. The virtual exhibition is accessible via the relevant website and is presented as an event of the Karabük University Graphic Design Department's 2026 Spring Semester. The exhibition includes poster designs focusing on the themes of the adoption of the National Anthem and commemorating Mehmet Akif Ersoy, and is located within the Safranbolu Fethi Toker Faculty of Fine Arts and Design. This event, within the framework of the university's mission to uphold national values ​​and cultural heritage, offered young designers the opportunity to commemorate Mehmet Akif Ersoy and our struggle for independence with an artistic approach on the anniversary of the adoption of the National Anthem. The event was met with interest from both academic circles and the public.
