The event brought together students from Karabük University Safranbolu Fethi Toker Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Software Engineering Department, Industrial Design Department and Technology Vocational School. Participants from different disciplines worked in teams for 48 hours to develop original digital game projects.
Participants had the opportunity to experience all stages of the game development process by demonstrating both their technical skills and artistic creativity. Interdisciplinary collaboration came to the fore in areas such as software, design and storytelling.
At the exhibition and award ceremony held at the end of the event, the projects that emerged were presented to the visitors. Of the successful teams, the TenşiTaçi Team came in first, the Piyon Team came in second, and the Kaos Team came in third. At the ceremony, the awards were presented to the successful teams by Karabük University Vice President Prof. Dr. İsmail Rakıp Karaş and Fethi Toker Fine Arts and Design Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Suat Altun.
After the award ceremony, the Super Smash Bros and Kahoot tournaments organized among the participants added color to the event. The tournaments, where the participants had a fun time, attracted great attention. The event ended with a live closing concert. Both students and faculty members had fun at the concert.
The Game Jam event was an important step in the fields of digital culture, game design, and creative production at Karabük University by building bridges between different faculties and departments. The participants made valuable contributions to their careers with the experience they gained.
